Living In A House That Is For Sale

For some people, living in the house they listed for sale is stressful. You've got all your stuff out and you don't know how long you are staying, and what will look best to sell your home faster. Because of this, I’ve compiled five steps that help you navigate the process

Start Packing Now

This is the very first thing that you should be doing since it does make moving easier. Take the time to declutter, get rid of a lot of the things that you know you need to store. Take all the things off the shelf put them away you can store them in your garage or maybe even get a storage unit. Decluttering will help your house show better.

Store, Toss, or Donate

Get rid of it have a yard sale it's a great way to earn a little extra cash to offset some of the other expenses. Feel free to throw stuff away and if it has any value maybe you want to donate it. There are a lot of people that could use your old stuff, maybe the Goodwill or the Salvation Army sometimes will even come to pick up your old furniture or things that you don't want.

Clean Clean Clean

When a buyer walks into a house that is clean and smells good they will feel better. So, clean the closets clean the floors clean your cabinets clean your garage. I know this sounds like a lot but, clean as best you can because it really will help sell your house and you'll enjoy living there while you're selling it.

Safety and Security

If you have stuff laying around guns, jewelry, or medicine in a medicine cabinet secure it put it away where it's safe. Take into consideration that people coming into your home will open up closets, drawers, and cabinets so it's better to be safe than sorry.

Teamwork

Involve your family, maybe you can recruit a couple of your friends to help you clean out the garage or pack away those boxes. Make the experience fun, and recruit some help.
